I Will Never Return To The PDP - Amaechi

Rivers State Governor and NGF chairman Rotimi Amaechi yesterday swore never to go back to his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party.
Amaechi revealed that even though some officials of the party have met him and tried to get him back, his stance is still and will never be moved.
Amaechi was talking during the Port Harcourt World Book Capital programme, but he refused to answer straight away if he would return if Soku oil wells would be returned to the state.
Chief Nyesom Wike, had recently said that Amaechi was on the verge of defecting from the APC back to the PDP.
Amaechi said: “I am not returning to the PDP. That man (Wike); they should check that man whether he is okay. I have finished with the PDP; I have told them. I made a promise that if they return the Kalabari oil wells, we will see how it goes, but until that happens.
“They have approached me and if they want, I will call the names of those that approached me, but that is not an issue.
“If I am progressive, it must be seen in the type of life I live; in what I do and how I relate with people; the type of governance. We introduced popular free education, gave laptops to children to take home. There are so many things we are doing that are contrary to the ideologies of the PDP, but they are wonderful men and women.”
“I said people should ignore him (Wike). Are you sure that if I tell PDP that I am coming back in 10 days, they will not throw a dance party here? When you are a President, a governor, or a minister; what you say must be factual; you can’t be part of gossip.”

No More State Of Emergency – Borno Attorney General Pleads

The Borno State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, Kaka Lawan has declared that the state of emergency ordered by the President to help curb the threat of Boko Haram has failed.
The Attorney General openly declared that the FG needs to try a new strategy instead of extending the state of emergency which has failed to yield positive results.
The emergency rule started in May 14 last year and was schedulled for 6 months but was then again increased for another 6 months. The emergency rule is scheduled to end on the second week of May
Mr Lawan said: “the first declaration of the state of emergency was actually an experiment which Nigerians thought it would at the end of the day work. “But after six months, it turned out not very successful. We thought there was going to be a change of strategy, to get the desired result; unfortunately, there was no change of strategy, rather we experienced an extension”.
The lawmaker warned that any more extension of the rule will continue to hinder the state's indigines who have suffered enough from the incessant bombings by and killings by Boko Haram .
He said: “Any further extension of the state of emergency will infringe on the rights of the citizens, particularly the right of movements as regards the curfews imposed. Besides that Nigerians will be going into the polls to elect their leaders, another declaration of the state of emergency will have a negative effect on both the federal and state government”.
“For instance, we are going into the year that all Nigerians will embark on electioneering campaigns, that is the more reason the federal government has to, as a matter of urgency, deploy strategy to combat this situation rather than imposing another emergency that will still have a very negative effect on the people.”

Three Civil servants have been killed and 5 women abducted in an attack by Boko Haram in Gujba local government area of Yobe state.

The incident was said to have happened at about 6pm on Friday.
According to one of the survivors who ran into the bush, they were ambushed at the gate of College of Agriculture Gujba by the insurgents who were putting on soldier's uniform.
It dawned on them that the men were not soldiers when they were ordered out of the car and told to lay down on the road before they were robbed. After which they slaughtered three people and ran into the bush with five women.
The victims were civil servants who had traveled to Damaturu the state capital to withdraw their monthly salary since there was no functional bank nor ATM in Gujba town as a result of incessant attacks by Boko Haram which had paralysed economic activities in the town.
One of the victim's family member who spoke on phone with Vanguard journalist said his brother was one of those slaughtered and his corpse has been brought home today, Saturday for burial.
The JTF is yet to be reached to confirm the incident.
Gujba local government has been constantly attacked in recent time by Boko Haram members, crippling the social and economic life of the residents.
One of such deadly attack was in February when they stormed the Federal Government College in Buni Yadi, Gujba LGA and set the students' dormitories on fire and slit the throats of those who tried to escape

Ghanaian Juju Priest Tackles Prophet T.B Joshua

A very powerful juju priest in Ghana, Priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam, is not taking it easy with Nigerian man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, and has plans to run the popular seer out of his country as well as report him to Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church.
From what we gather, Priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam is not happy that Prophet Joshua has become one of the most powerful men that controls activities in Ghana and that even the Ghanaian president has so much faith in the Nigerian prophet.
The juju man says he will personally go to Rome to report to the Pope to call Joshua to order or else he and other members of the juju clan in his country will make things very difficult for Joshua.
Priest Bonsam is of the view that Prophet Joshua is “acting like Christ” and that his prophecies are misleading, as he is not a true man of God and uses “tricks”, having his editors fabricating things and posting it to the Internet and demonstrating on his TV station. Bonsam even indicated that it was Prophet T. B. Joshua that killed the former President of Ghana, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.

"It's either Bayo (their publicist) is clueless as to what is happening in the Okoye household at the moment or he thinks the best thing to do for now is to deny that there's anything going on.  I wrote that the twin brothers Peter and Paul engaged in physical combat on Wednesday. If this was false, Peter is a social media person, he would have immediately denied it. He didn't! Unfortunately P-Square fans, things are even worse than I reported yesterday. According to my findings, Peter Okoye wants out of P-Square and they have even gone as far as inviting a lawyer to divide their fortune."she wrote.

"Now, let me make this clear. This report is based on what's been happening with the brothers up until right now Saturday April 19th. I don't know what will happen tomorrow, next week or next year but as of right now, Peter Okoye doesn't want anything to do with P-Square.

First, Peter Okoye has moved out of Squareville mansion in Omole where he lived with his brothers for years and now lives in Lekki Phase 1 with his wife Lola Omotayo and their children.

Yes they fought this week. Peter even left a mark on Paul's left eye. But the fight wasn't during rehearsal, which rehearsal? Peter has refused to do anything P-Square for weeks now. Forget that he was at his brother's wedding, things are not good between them right now. They were even invited to perform at president Jonathan's wedding but they didn't go, Peter wants out. (that's a lie though, KFB can authoritatively tell you guys that Peter and Paul Okoye were at the presidential wedding...they opened the floor for the father and daughter dance (HERE)).

He said Paul and Jude are sidelining him. That if they push out 200 songs, 199 would be songs Paul did. That people are now calling him a dancer in P-Square. Peter is really angry. He's even the cool and friendly one between the brothers but he is not himself right now. And then he accused his brother Jude of disrespecting his wife.

Peter and Jude haven't spoken in weeks. Peter said Jude has been disrespecting Lola for years and he was done tolerating the BS. In fact Peter said that not only is Lola older than Jude, but that she's also pregnant and Jude was upsetting a pregnant woman. If you notice Jude didn't attend their wedding last year despite the fact that he was in Nigeria.

Jude asked Peter why he didn't marry Lola when their mother was alive. Jude said it's his wife that is pushing him and they will need to pray for him. In fact nobody in the Okoye family likes Lola and they didn't support the marriage. The brothers are really angry at each other.

The police is even involved. This week, either the commissioner of police or someone from his office visited their house. The worst part is that they have invited lawyer to come and share property o. They want to share everything. The lawyer was at their house I think on Thursday.

Peter said no more P-Square joint ventures. You know they own everything together, including a house in Omole, Parkview and Atlanta. Except something is done fast P-Square is about to be finished. But I know that people have been intervening and begging them to reconsider, that they are the biggest musical duo in Africa. Nobody will benefit if they split. The power to make money is in their togetherness. It is Jude people are begging to keep the brothers together, but after what he tweeted yesterday, it may truly be over for P-Square. Jude has really tried for his brothers, for him to give up may mean it's over for them.

He practically put his entire life on hold for his brothers. Even sold his first car to shoot their first video but all that is about go come to an end like he tweeted. The only thing that can save the situation is if by a miracle Jude and Lola settle their differences but I don't see that happening" the insider told Godfada

What really happened on the Wednesday Peter and Paul Okoye (Psquare) fought + Psquare's mum already envisioned this!

Okay, here's a quick update on the ongoing Psquare saga and it's according to Laila this time.

"The supposed fight between Paul and Peter Okoye was actually started by their Personal Assistants (PAs).  Jude's PA, Wande, had given money to Peter's PA to get his car registered but Peter's PA, Shege, instead of spending the money on what he was asked to use it for, allegedly spent it on something else.

This is a guy that reportedly, when Psquare's mum was still alive had also 'eaten' the money given to him to purchase a car for P square's mum.


So, Jude's PA was reportedly really angry when he found out his money was gone and the car wasn't registered. So, he stormed Squareville to confront Peter's PA. Along the line, they got into a heated argument and a fight broke out between the two of them.

Like real, serious, bloody fight. Things were so heated up that Peter allegedly came in, joined the fight and was about to hit Jude's PA with a pen when Paul reportedly jumped in, held his twin brother's hand to stop him.

In that rage, Peter allegedly swung his free hand and landed Paul a big blow that made him fall to the ground. I was told Paul didn't fight Peter back. Rather, their elder brother Tony allegedly pounced on Peter and started beating him. Anita, Paul Okoye's wife, witnessed this incident. I was told Peter wants to be incharge of their funds or get more money allegedly due to pressure from his wife. Jude has always been in charge and Paul wants it to stay that way. Then that the lawyer brought in to split their property came, no one agreed that this is yours, this one is mine, so the lawyer says he can't continue. At least for now.

Lola never visits Square ville cos she allegedly sees the family members as enemies, unlike Anita who freely visits regularly. Plenty other personal details. Some of you already have heard about Psquare's mum telling her sons that she sees them splitting if Peter weds Lola cos she reportedly saw in a dream where Peter was pursuing Paul with a fork to kill him. So much stuff, but let's leave it here for now. And pray for the family to get through this. "

Pastor Kumuyi collapses inside Deeper Life Camp

The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life church, Pastor W.F Kumuyi allegedly collapsed during the Easter retreat on Saturday.  

He has since been rushed out of the camp and  is now responding to treatment at the undisclosed hospital he was rushed to. 

According to Dailypost, a reliable source said “Pastor Kumuyi could not take the morning Faith Clinic on Saturday because of his health condition. He broke down during the ongoing retreat and was rushed to the hospital, he is currently under treatment.
“We were told to pray for his strength, which we have been doing, but he didn’t minister throughout yesterday, a development which has sent every member panicking.”

A dependable source in the church told Daily Post exclusively. He said there’s tension in the camp over the health of Kumuyi who broke down during the programme entitled: ‘Living in His Victory and Destined to Win.’
It was gathered that when it's his turn to Minister, they may rebroadcast his old message to the congregation.

Seven more girls escape from Boko Haram captivity

Seven more girls out of the 100+ girls that were abducted from Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, Borno state on April 14th have escaped the Boko Harem den. According to the Borno State Governor, Kashim Settima who revealed this during his Easter message to the state, the girls escaped between Saturday night and Sunday evening and have reunited with their families. He said out of the 129 that were kidnapped, 52 have reunited with their families while 77 are yet to be found.

 

The Governor described the last one week as the most troubling of his tenure since he assumed office

"I have seen very serious moments since I became the Governor of Borno State in 2011 at a period of insurgent crisis. I have seen many innocent lives lost for no reason and I mourn every life lost with empathy and high sense of responsibility. But the last one week have been my worst days as a Governor and even the worst in my life. I am troubled as a father, as a leader and as a politician. So much is being done by rescue teams. There is very high commitment on the part of the Federal, State and Chibok local government authorities in working for the freedom of these innocent daughters of ours that are future leaders and mothers of future leaders” he said.
