Pregnancy Mess:Bisi Ibidapo Obe kicked out of the house.Lover retrieves Range Rover

It is surely not the best of times for star actress, Bisi Ibidapo Obe. The actress who is wallowing in deep mess over her controversial pregnancy, has relocated to Ghana where she’s said to be hibernating pending delivery of her baby.
According to an industry source, the actress decided to move out of Nigeria some days back after her UK based lover, Lopez, who is said to be footing the bill of her Magodo Lagos duplex, breezed into the country and kicked her out of the house.
He was said to have taken the decision after it became obvious that he was not responsible for Bisi’s pregnancy. Lopez returned to the UK after locking the house and withdrawing the Range Rover he bought for her, leaving behind her C-Class Mercedes Benz and Honda Element she acquired a while back. (Though a close to the actress denied the house was locked by Lopez but confirmed Bisi went to Ghana)

See what they did to him for stealing goats

See what they did to him because he stole goats.I wonder when our society would wake up and do things the right way. I am not justifying  the stealing of goats but this man should not be put through this all because he stole a goat. What would you say to politicians and people in power who steal  large amount of money yet they go scot-free? We need to wake-up and do things properly. There have been instances where people strip ladies naked for  stealing  a phone(blackberry). Why can’t you strip a politician naked? or did he or she not steal far more than  the worth of a goat or blackberry

Begger,disabled donates to flood victims

A middle aged Nigerian beggar, identified as Simon Ozoemena, has stunned government officials in Anambra state, eastern Nigeria, by making a donation of N30,000 to the flood victims in the state.
Ozoemena, from Nibo in Awka South Local Government Area, of the state gave the “widow’s mite” during a joint meeting of the state flood disaster relief committee in Awka, the state capital.
The meeting was attended by officials of the state government, camp coordinating committees and the council chairmen of the affected areas.
The beggar, who said he solicited for alms in churches, said he was moved by the plight of the victims.
“They were better-off than me before the incident”, he said.
“I decided to make this humble donation because I was touched that people had to relocate to camps because of the flood, leaving the comfort of their homes. I heard the state government’s appeal on radio and called one of the contact numbers; the person responded very well to me and asked me to come to their meeting today.
“I beg for money mostly from churches and I decided to remove N30,000 from the proceeds to support government’s effort, to reduce their suffering,” Ozoemena said.
Prof. Chinyere Okunna, commissioner for Economic planning and budget who received the donation on behalf of the state government, described the gesture as “highly” emotional and a good omen for the flood victims.
“It is a very emotional moment; the state government is deeply moved by this singular act of charity, especially from someone who depends solely on charity.
“Honestly, a N30,000 donation from a physically challenged beggar is worth more than N1,000,000 donation from an able bodied person.
“We are really impressed and positively challenged to continue the good work we are doing,” she said.
Okunna reiterated the promise that the donations would be judiciously used.
Mr Chinedu Obidigwe, the Council Chairman, Anambra East Local Government, said the major problem facing the people displaced by the flood was their rehabilitation as flood recedes.
“The major tasks include the resettling of the victims, rebuilding their homes, providing soft loans for them to go back to farm and the revival of health facilities in the area.
“I must commend the proactive response of the state government in tackling this disaster, they have done really well,” Obidigwe said.
The chairman said that there were no reported cases of death, molest, robbery and outbreak of diseases in the five camps in his council area.

Photo Of The Day: Nigeria’s First Couple Versus America’s First Couple

First of, let me use this opportunity to welcome Nigeria’s first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan back to the country after a long and much deserved rest abroad. I assume she is still resting because since her return, she has kept a relatively low profile – away from public glare.
The first lady was ushered into the country amidst pomp, celebration and thanks giving. What however caught my interest is the hug from president Jonathan to his wife as she alighted from her car at the villa – was he shy or is it part of protocol?
Now compare the image above of Barack and Michelle Obama of the United States (L) to Nigeria’s Goodluck and Patience Jonathan (R), which one is more romantic? Or maybe it’s a tale of two different presidents in different climes after all. What do you think?

Meanwhile, chairman of the , Ahmadu Giade in his message urged members of the public to desist from smuggling and criminal acts capable of truncating their God ordained destinies: “It is sad that these suspected drug traffickers are behind bars when they ought to be with their families this festive season. Drug trafficking and other criminal acts will only lead to misery, shame and unfulfilled dreams.”

ESUT students arrested.Forced female students to act lesbian film

The Nigerian Army in Enugu has paraded 21 Enugu State University of Science and Technology students for allegedly torturing and forcing some female students to have stuff among themselves.
The students, most of who confessed to being cultists, told journalists that they took video shots of the lésbian act because they had been offered money by some influential Nigerians.
The idea, the suspects said, was to take tapes of the scenes to their partners in Europe.
Shortly before parading the suspects on Saturday, the General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Maj. Gen. Sarkin Yaki Bello, who spoke through the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, said the cultists, were arrested in their hideouts at Agbani on the outskirts of Enugu between July 8 and 12, 2011.
Bello said the patrol team of 103 Battalion moved to the ESUT following persistent gunshots at the institution on July 4 and arrested one of the masterminds of the crime, Mr Franklin Anikwe, with five rounds of ammunition.
The GOC said he had directed that a thorough investigation be carried out in order to fish out the pepetrators.
He said, “It was the preliminary investigation conducted by the division’s intelligence group that led to the arrest of the 19 other suspects. Some of the items recoverd from them are four locally made pistols, 10AA cartridges and video clips where the female students were forced to have illicit stuff with themselves during the raid.”

Unedited Version: Before you marry an Igbo Woman

Dear Friend,
Greetings. I hear you have found a lovely woman you wish to spend the rest of your life with. I hear she is Igbo.  Congratulations. Before you go ahead, however, please permit me to say a few things concerning marrying an Igbo woman. I know unsolicited advice is as unwanted as armpit boils, but do spare me a second or two; this is important. See, I know you think the bride price you’ve been told to pay and the long list of traditional marriage items are your biggest issues…trust me, they are nothing compared with what you will face after the ceremonies have been completed and every member of her village has gone home with his/her share of the booty for which you mortgaged your father’s properties.
Now, take note of the following, dear friend:
Igbo traditional wedding

1. Forget Authority: If you were marrying a Yoruba woman, she would have come to your house with her mother’s voice ringing in her ears that a husband’s house is a place where life’s lessons are learnt. It’s a different story for the Igbo woman. She comes from a long line of ‘unruly’ people who traditionally have no concept of a central authority figure.  Prepare to be stared down eyeball to eyeball in an argument. Prepare to be laughed at when you attempt to assert yourself as the ‘man of the house.’ When she’s done laughing, she’ll measure you, up and down with her left, and sneer: ‘Hian! See this one o; who do you think you’re talking to?’ She’ll clap and shake her head, then she’ll add something in Igbo and then saunter away, wriggling her backside.  It isn’t for nothing that the legendary Aba Womens’ Riot happened in…ABA.
2. Prepare to be Called Names: No, I am not referring to endearing (more like puke-inducing, actually) names like Baby, Darling, or Nkem. I’m talking about names that qualify your lineage and ethnicity in terms that are not exactly complimentary. If you are Yoruba, you and your people will be Ndi ofe mmanu (something about too much oil in your soup and fried things in your life); If you are a Northerner, you and your people will be Ndi beribe (something about possessing a mumu gene). Find solace in the fact that if you are truly Yoruba, you ‘know’ that Igbo people use kick to wake their mothers up from the mat in the morning.
3. Say Goodbye to your Waistline: Your waistline will increase in proportion to the years you spend with an Igbo woman who knows the well-beaten path to her mother’s kitchen. Gone are your days of adding stew to ewedu and okro, or eating egusi soup that was blended with tomatoes. Tufiakwa! The introduction of Ofe Akwu, Nsala, Oha, Onugbu, Ofe Owerri and Oporoko will ensure that when you sit, you fill up the chair. That’s what is called a man, a DIMGBA! Not one that looks like something some hungry wind blew in.  When the husband of an Igbo woman stands, people must see that a man is standing. Size matters. Don’t be deceived by the looks of people like Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and that six-pack nonsense; he’s not a proper Igbo man. Look more at people like his elder brother Ugo or imagine Noble Igwe a few years after marriage; now, those are real Igbo men!  Size matters to an Igbo woman.
4. Be Aware of the Oriaku Syndrome: You have not heard of the Oriaku Syndrome? Don’t worry, I will tell you. You see, when you marry an Igbo woman, you work for her. Your glory comes from seeing her shine. When she steps out, people must SEE your money on her body. If your wife looks like the dried fish she uses in cooking your soup, you are not a man! If she’s dressed like something that was sent to Lagos along with discarded wares, you have failed in your duties! The Oriaku Syndrome posits that your wife is the chopper of your money, simple. Don’t take this to mean that you are her provider and therefore she isn’t independent. When the Igbo man was planting yam, the Igbo woman was planting and harvesting cocoyam, and as every Igbo household can testify, the cocoyam is more useful than yam. Yam is only the king crop because the Igbo society, like others, is phallocentric. Don’t get it twisted.
5. Beware of the Illuminati: Do not marry any Igbo woman that is the first daughter of her father. All first daughters in Igboland are members of the real Illuminati. They sometimes call it by another name: Umuada. They are the most powerful group in Igboland and can do and undo. No one uses small spoon to measure their food. If you marry one and misbehave and she reports you, you are doomed. Even when you don’t marry one, you are still doomed if your wife ever reports you to them. They may decide that all the first daughters from her village will come and live in your house for a month. You may wish to consider suicide if that ever happens to you. It is the Igbo woman who has forgotten the path to her father’s house that suffers in a man’s house when she has the Umuada waiting.
6. The Catholic Church Intervention: When an Igbo woman is tired of you and your nonsense, she’ll simply pack her bag and return to her father’s house. If you do not run after her and collect your bride price back from her father, whatever child she bears anywhere she goes will bear your name. Yes, I’m serious. This is why there are no bastards in Igboland. But thank God for the Catholic Church, this doesn’t happen often. The average Igbo woman is Catholic and the Catholic Church has issues with divorce. Be smart: if you’re going to marry an Igbo woman, marry one who is a Catholic; it reduces her chances of leaving you by about 50%.
You may wish to ask why none of the above is often the case when an Igbo woman marries an Igbo man… well, I don’t know. Perhaps the Igbo man knows how to be ‘oga’ over the Igbo woman and has refused to share the secret with aliens.

My boyfriend wants to dump me because I refuse him sex

The last few weeks have been very sad for me as my relationship, one which am really proud of and happy about, is about to pack up. My last relationship ended after I caught my guy with another girl in his apartment when I visited without calling him first. I was heart broken.
Now am in a relationship with this cool guy and he loves me like mad and I really love him too. The problem now is sex. I gave my previous boyfriend whenever and wherever he wanted it but he still cheated on me so I decided to stop.
I’m sending you this message because I’ve seen a lot of stories on Olufamous.com and I’ve learnt a lot from them. My lovely boyfriend is now avoiding me because I’m saying no to sex. He said he would have accepted to wait if I was a virgin but that he didnt see any reason to wait.
My mind was already made up about not having sex again until the first night of my marriage. Please is there any other thing I can do to keep him? How do I know he wont hurt me once I start having sex with him?Anyone with sound advice should please help me out. Thanks.

I told him not to release inside me, now I am pregnant

This particular story has been online for  few days back.Any advise from hotnaijanews readers?
I am Pregnant for my young sister’s husband. I travelled to Lagos to buy clothes for my shop about two months ago and had to spend a few days in my sister’s place.
I called her but her number wasn’t going so when I got to Lagos I contacted her husband who told me that she went to Ogun State on official assignment.
He agreed that I should come over and do my transaction from their house. It was raining when I got there so I got socked, especially while trying to get their keys from a neighbour.
They live in a one-bedroom apartment, so I had to go inside the room to change. I was really cold and was already wishing I had a man I could visit in Lagos when the unexpected happened.
Due to the rain my sister’s husband came in through a back door from the kitchen straight into the bedroom and I was completely nudé; I couldn’t even bend down to pick my clothes.
I was just standing there motionless until he grabbed me and, yes, we did it.

We didn’t feel any guilt, just laughed about it and I prepared food. We both ate, slept together and had séx all night with each other. The sequence continued for the three days I spent in Lagos but after the first time we agreed he shouldn’t release his sperm inside me.
Am now back to Enugu where I do my business, but unfortunately I am six weeks pregnant. No man friend, no boyfriend, no séx mate…. So who will I give this pregnancy to?
My sister’s marriage is less than a year and I just cant mention this to her husband..
The options I have thought of is either to kill myself or have an abortion. Is there any other way out of this mess I have gotten myself into?
Please I need HELP, and I need it fast! What should I do

Delta State Governor’s aide raped, battered and tortured into coma

A Delta and State female top government functionary almost died when she was attacked at  her residence in DDPA area of Asaba, the State Capital. She was allegedly raped, battered and tortured into coma by a man believed to be her former driver and two others. The suspects are now in the police net.
When the victim’s three bed room apartment was visited, the place has been deserted. Sources revealed that she is still recuperating in an undisclosed hospital.
What happened according to sources:
On the fateful day, the victim’s driver had reported for duty as usual.
He was soon joined by his predecessor, who had earlier been “sacked by the madam”. “Nobody suspected anything was going on inside the house because of the high fence. But at about 10 p.m., the two drivers drove out of the compound in the madam’s jeep with 50 litres of fuel and never came back.” Having regained consciousness at about 4 a.m. she struggled and managed to get to her neighbour’s gate to seek assistance. “When she knocked at the gate, I peeped through a small hole and found she was the one, I opened the gate and discovered she had matchet cuts all over her body.

It was at that point we raised an alarm and rushed her to hospital,” our source added. According to the source, there were blood stains on the walls in the victim’s apartment, adding that the blood on the floor had congealed. The source added: They broke her head, raped her and mutilated her body. The plot was to kill her, but God’s intervention saved her.”
However, following the incident, security operatives trailed the suspects to Abakiliki where they had gone to dispose of the vehicle and were subsequently arrested. A neighbour in the area told Sunday Sun that the attackers might have carried out the dastardly act as their own pound of flesh, describing the victim as too hostile to her domestic staff.
“Nobody stays here with her. She lives alone. Whenever the driver comes to pick her, he is not allowed to go into the house. He always hangs around the gate. Sometimes, he would sit on that stone and doze off. Her house girl too had to run away because of the way madam mal-treated her. There was a day she poured hot water on the girl because of early morning tea,” said a neighbour who pleaded anonymity.

Tonto Dike:My hated song became the most talked about.I plan on shooting the videos

Tonto also said that despite the critics and bad belle syndrome, her song has received a thumb up from youtube withing a week for 5.2m downloads. ‘’ The most unanticipated and hated song became the most talked about, most controversial, most downloaded and of course the most listened song. I feel great, no regrets.!’’
Tonto Dike's song

You have heard it all, Tonto seems not deterred by whatever anyone says about her incursion into music world. Despite the monstrous negative response, this is what the delectable actress said ‘’ I love music and I wanted to do my own thing, to contribute my own music. I listened to my songs over and over again and I told myself I did well. In all, I see only the positivity in it, I made History. People’s opinion of how my music was has further strengthened my belief that dreams die when you let the next man’s opinion get to you and I am using now to pass a message to everyone out there, if you can just do it. Don’t let anyone’s opinion kill whatever dream you have or try to stop you from taking the next step. ‘’

Two Nigerian pastors sleeping with a woman while praying for her to get pregnant(Viewer’s Discretion Advised)

Our intention for posting this video is not to promote p0rn0graphy but rather to put to shame what some pastors do in the name of God to vulnerable women who seek their help. What you see in this video are two men obviously taking advantage of a woman probably desperate to have a child the so called “Men of God” take advantage of the weak and vulnerable with fake promises of blessings from God. Pastors please beware as God is coming soon.

EFCC prosecutes 160 graft cases, convicts 30 in 6 months

ABUJA — The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, boasted last night, that it prosecuted over 160 financial crimes-related cases within the first six months in office of its current chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde.
The commission said it also convicted no fewer than 30 crime suspects, among them those implicated in the mega scam that rocked the nation’s oil industry last year.
The EFCC made the declaration in a statement in Abuja by its Acting Head of Media and Publicity, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, while reacting to claims by a columnist with an online medium criticising Lamorde and his commission of not doing enough to fight rising graft in the country.

In the article entitled “EFCC: From Hope to Hogwash,” the author concluded that for not rendering its 2011 account to the National Assembly as demanded by the law setting up the agency, Lamorde and the system which he runs have failed to live up to the expectations of Nigerians.
But the commission spokesman disagreed with the submission, claiming that Lamorde had done his job transparently and reinvigorated a near comatose system, leading to the restoration of hope and confidence by its international partners, who had abandoned the commission in the past due to non-performance.
Uwujaren said: “Everything the EFCC Chairman has done since he took the reins of the commission’s leadership has been tailored towards restoring the commission’s moral and professional integrity.
“From recalling some of the crack investigators who were asked to leave the commission in its meltdown years, investigating and prosecuting officers with integrity issues, to running integrity checks on all serving officers. Lamorde has had one thing in mind: Restoring the professional health of the commission.
“The result of this initiative is evident even to cynics. Many of the international partners that abandoned the commission in its testy years are back. The commission now enjoys the confidence of law enforcement organisations around the globe, opening up fresh windows of cooperation and collaboration that have strengthened the fight against economic crimes and corruption in Nigeria.
“There is no promise Lamorde has made concerning his current job which he has abandoned. Of course, those who have been carried away by the theatrics and drama that the commission had come to be associated with in the recent past may find it difficult to appreciate the professionalism of the EFCC under Lamorde.”
“The era of high drama, the era of simply showing off and blowing hot air is gone. Real law enforcement the world over is serious business, and not one to be conducted on the pages of newspapers and television studios.”
EFCC submitted its 2011 Annual Report, right on schedule to the two chambers of the Nigerian National Assembly, Thursday, 27th September, 2012.  No fanfare.  No drama.
Section 37 of the EFCC Establishment Act, 2004 states: “The Commission shall, not later than 30th September in each year, submit to the National Assembly, a report of its activities during the immediately preceding year and shall include in such report the audited account of the Commission”.
This, the commission said, was done quietly on  the 27th  of September, 2012 to the two chambers of the National Assembly.

Suicide bomber hits another Kaduna church

KADUNA— It was another black Sunday, yesterday, as eight persons were killed and 145 others injured after a suicide bomber, driving a black Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) rammed through the fence of St Rita’s Catholic Church, Bardarwa, in the northern part of Kaduna metropolis, setting off an explosion.
Meanwhile, Christian youths in Sabo, Television Village, Maraban Rido surbubs of Kaduna  immediately mobilised to take on Muslims, but Christian elders and local community leaders went from street to street pleading for restraint, as the Police and the military later arrived to keep them off the streets.
BOMBED—Scene and victims of the suicide bomb attack on St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Kaduna, yesterday.
Also, Muslim youths in their strong holds, of Tudun Wada, Rigassa and Kawo were said to have armed themselves in readiness for any possible reprisals from Christians.
An Air Force Helicopter hovered low over the city, ostensibly to monitor the situation, while fear of possible curfew gripped residents.
Bomber deserves our pity — Kaduna Catholic Archbishop
The Catholic Arch-Bishop of Kaduna, Mathew Man’Oso Ndagoso, who spoke to newsmen at St. Gerard Catholic Hospital, Kakuri, Kaduna, where 14 injured worshippers were being treated for various wounds, said the bomber deserved pity and mercy since he was only testing the credibility of the Faith of Christians.

Said Ndagoso: “What happened was unfortunate, being the second time that the Catholic Church, and the third time churches were bombed in Kaduna State. Once again, as Christians and as Catholics, we are challenged to deliver our own faith to witness. I think we are even called to witness our faith as more credible and to bear the message of the Bible to those who hate us. We must by this incident, strengthen our faith, because in difficult times like these, it is easy for some people to start thinking about the non-existence of God. Because they will wonder why God should allow things to happen this way. But that should not be it all.
“I have not been able to go to the church scene, because the security agencies said that it is not yet safe for me to go there. But I have spoken to those who were in the Church. I have spoken to the Reverend Father conducting the mass. From what I heard, I thank God, because it could have been worse.
Children are major victims
“I have gone to virtually all the hospitals that the injured were taken to for treatment. And the saddest thing, I must say here, is that children are the major victims. The impact of the explosion happened where the children were seated. That is why a lot of the injured were children.  In the five hospitals we have visited so far, most of the victims were children. Therefore, you begin to wonder if a human being in his full senses could do such a thing. Honestly, as a person, I believe that the person who could carry out such wickedness, deserves our pity and mercy. He has only tested the integrity of our Faith; these kind of people are not in their senses. How could a human being, who claims to be working for any kind of god, go to a place where people are worshiping God with a bomb and do this kind of thing? I know we are in difficult times, but my advice to all Christians and my fellow Catholics in Kaduna State is that difficult situations do not make us less Christians. In the same vein, difficult situations do not make us less human. No matter how difficult the situation is, my appeal to Catholic youths and all our Christian brethren is ‘never, never retaliate’. Two wrongs can never, and will never make a right. We know that there are few individuals who want to plunge this country into difficult situation. And they would stop at nothing. So, my appeal to the majority of Nigerians who believe in the unity and preservation of this country is that we must come together and never give these people the chance because good will always override evil. This is our belief as Christians. God has not abandoned us. We must find salvation through the way of the Cross.
“I have gone round Barrau Dikko, and I was shown two dead bodies. I was with the Chairman of the Church Council and he told me that only these two bodies are in the mortuary.  One died on the way to the hospital, and the other at the hospital. I was told that there were two dead bodies still in the church. That was about two hours ago when I spoke to my officials. I was told that the two bodies were left so that the injured could be evacuated quicker. So I have confirmed two deaths, and reliably informed that two worshipers’ bodies are still in the church. But the injured, they are all over the hospitals I visited.
“I cannot confirm to you the number of injured, but they are many. Yes, many. I have been at Barau Dikko Hospital, 44 Army Referral Hospital, Garkuwa Hospital and Multi-Clinic and now I am at St Gerard’s.  Except at Multi-Clinic, where Rev. Fada Sunny Bonni is the only victim, all the others had many injured ones. Just that I did not count the numbers.
“The priest was celebrating mass when it happened. I have spoken to him and he told me that the bombing took place at the kiss-of-love (Catholic high point of the Eucharist). Contrary to rumours, Fada Bonni is alive and I have seen him and spoken to him. He is from Bassa in Adamawa State, and I have been getting so many calls from there with his people asking if he is okay”
Victims recount ordeal
At St. Gerard’s Catholic Hospital, where the PRO of the Hospital Mr. Sunday Ali confirmed that 14 injured persons, mostly children were being treated, one of the injured recounted her experience.
Rita Ejiro (Mrs), 30 from Benue State who was injured with her four children said:  “I closed my eyes, opened it to just see a jeep crashing through the church”
She spoke to Vanguard on her hospital bed, with some of the wounded children beside her.
“The Mass starts by 7am. By 9,am we were having the Holy Communion  prayers.  I closed my eyes. As I opened it, I heard some noise and I saw a Jeep crashing into the church. Then there was an explosion. Glasses entered my body and I didn’t even know it then, because I was concerned for my four children. I was holding one of my children’s hand. I found two, but could not find the other, because of the confusion.  Later we found him. He had more injuries. His condition is more critical than mine and his brothers. He is now at the Children ward now. The explosion was much, because it brought down part of the church. The body of the bomber, I am told, is now hanging on the wall of the Church. Our Reverend Father is alive, and I even saw him drive himself outside the church. Unlike some other Sundays where you saw at least two Policemen with guns and some Civil Defence people outside the Church, this time I did not see any when I came to mass. Our Cadet boys who usually help, most of them went to camp. So the place was like that when I came. I don’t know if Police later came when I was inside the Church.”
I saw women, children screaming for help—Markus Ishaya (25) from Kaduna State:
“The priest was saying the Communion prayers, and was almost done. Then there was something like a loud roar. Then something hit the wall of the church and entered. I heard an explosion, then another. Everybody started running. There was  blood over my body when I came out. It was when I came out that I discovered I had fractured this arm. And there were  pieces of glass in my body. I saw many injured people. Children, women screaming for help. I saw more seriously injured people taken away in Road Safety vehicles. But I don’t know if anyone lost his life. I was also brought here not too long ago. When I came to church, I only saw two of our cadets with metal detectors. I did not see any soldier or police, unlike other days. If they came later, I don’t know.
I heard an explosion, I didn’t know what happened later —Jacinta Oko (24) from Imo State, had shrapnel wounds  over her body
“I came to Church as usual. I was concentrating on the blessing of the Holy Communion when I saw a black car force its way into the Church.  As I made to run, like the rest, I heard an explosion. I don’t know what happened after. I just woke up here. I praise God for his mercy. There are many things that have penetrated my body. I have wounds all over me.

Two die in failed jailbreak

AT least two inmates of Federal Prisons in the Ahaoda West Local Govrnment Area of Rivers State have been shot dead by security operatives while attempting to escape from the prison.
Our correspondent learnt on Sunday that the two inmates attempted to escape through the ceiling before they were stopped by policemen.
It was further learnt that other inmates, who sensed that security agents had been alerted, immediately retreated.
The incident, which occurred at about 5pm on Saturday, caused panic on the prisons premises.
A prison source, who confided in our correspondent, said, “An attempted jailbreak has occurred at Federal Prisons in Ahoada on 27th October, 2012 at about 1700hrs.
“The inmates had attempted breaking out unlawfully from custody when men of Ahoada Police Area Command and personnel of other security agencies were alerted and swiftly mobilised to the scene and cordoned off the perimeter fence of the prison.
“Consequently, the escaping inmates retreated to the confines of the prisons. Two inmates who tried to escape through the ceiling were shot at to prevent their escape,” a source stated.
It was also learnt that some prison inmates were relocated from Bayelsa State to the prisons in Ahaoda, a situation that sparked a protest by the inmates in the area.
Some of the inmates had capitalised on the rowdy situation within the prison in Ahaoda West to make the escape attempt.
The Controller of Port Harcourt Prisons, Mr. Jerome Babalola, who spoke in a telephone interview with THE PUNCH, said the information at his disposal was sketchy, promising to react to the issue tomorrow (Monday).
Babalola said, “By tomorrow, I will speak on the issue. Investigation is still on and the information we have is sketchy.
“You know it is not good to say one thing today and say another one tomorrow. One has to get his facts before speaking on matters like this.”
Confirming the incident on Sunday, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ben Ugwuegbulam, explained that two inmates were killed during an attempt to escape from the prison.
Ugwuegbulam disclosed that the situation had since been brought under control. “Ahoada Police Area Command swiftly mobilised to the scene and, together with other security agencies, cordoned off the entire perimeter of the prisons.

Chelsea files complaint against referee after loss to Man U

Referee Mark Clattenburg
Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo says the officials “ruined” the game as the Blues slumped to their first Premier League defeat of the season against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres were both given red cards in the space of five minutes just after the hour in United’s 3-2 win – with the Spaniard’s dismissal for diving disputed by Chelsea.
Chelsea also lodged a complaint to the Premier League match delegate over the alleged use of “inappropriate language” by referee Mark Clattenburg towards two of their players

Eaglets beat Guinea in Conakry

Golden Eaglets
Nigeria U-17 team, the Golden Eaglets, on Sunday beat Guinea 4-0 on in Conakry to qualify for the next round of the African Junior Championship on a 7-0 aggregate.
The Eaglets won the first leg qualifier 3-0 in Calabar two weeks ago and with Sunday’s result, they have set up a final qualifier with the winners of the match between Mali and Mauritania in November.
The Eaglets led 2-0 with goals from Alhassan Ibrahim and Isaac Success in Sunday match.
Success scored again in the second half to complete his brace while Musa Yahaya completed the rout with a fourth goal.
Nigeria have won the U-17 World Cup thrice in 1985, 1993 and 2007, but the current team is proving to be another strong side as they have not drawn or lost on the road and at home any of their two qualifiers against Niger and Guinea. Scoring 17 goals and conceding a goal in the process. Morocco will host the African Junior Championship in April next year.

Another Side to Tonto Dikeh

Another Side to Tonto Dikeh

Tonto Dikeh sure knows how to stay on top of her game. In spite of her seemingly derogatory disposition as Nollywood’s controversial screen diva and s** symbol, it is indeed commendable that the actress is about to fete 100 most brilliant students from both private and public schools in Lagos.
On why the actress who recently delved into music is reaching out to these students, she says,“The act of rewarding brilliant students with scholarships and through other means which used to be very prevalent in those days seems to have gone into extinction. There are thousands of intelligent students who need to be shown lots of love, if not for anything but for their outstanding successes. The idea is to appreciate them in any little way I can and this Christmas period provides an excellent opportunity.”
For those who probably think that ‘s**’ is all there is to this sultry actress, Tonto has decided to chart a new course for herself after the weeks of controversies over her recently-acquired tattoo that covers over 70 percent of her back.
Her reward project for the students is billed to hold on December 10 at the Troy Bar and Restaurants, Ogba, Lagos.
