Robbers invade 3 banks in Auchi, blow up police station with dynamite

Several locations in Auchi, Edo State, were on Monday evening attacked by armed bandits.
Residents said  they heard loud explosions followed by gunshots in the attacks which started at about 7:00 p.m. The explosion was believed to be a dynamite blown up at the police station.
“Several banks in Jattu/Auchi road have been attacked,” a witness said.
The attackers reportedly razed a police station and three banks, including EcoBank, GT Bank and Access Bank.
Soldiers, who were reportedly called in to contain the robbers and safeguard property from being further looted or damaged, were said to have asked the residents to stay indoors.
