THICK SMOKE RISING FROM THE PENTHOUSE OF THE OBASANJO HILLTOP RESIDENCE
THICK SMOKE RISING FROM THE PENTHOUSE OF THE OBASANJO HILLTOP RESIDENCE
A fire which reportedly started around 4:30pm Thursday, has gutted a section of the multi-million naira hilltop residence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Although it is not yet clear what started the fire, we gathered that the ex-president’s secretary’s office, located within the expansive mansion, at Ibara GRA, was gutted.
Meanwhile, an Ogun State Fire Service truck marked OG 122 AO9 got to the scene of the fire incident an hour after it was detected and was quickly joined by another 10mins later even as men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, the Nigeria Police, State Security Service and close friends of the ex-president battled to contain the fire from spreading to other parts of the sprawling estate.

FRSC:New minimum driving age for commercial drivers now pegged at 26.

The new minimum age for commercial drivers in Nigeria is now pegged at 26. The Federal Road Safety Corps announced this recently. FRSC said underage commercial drivers are responsible for some road accidents in the country.
Christopher Ademoluti, Kwara State sector commander of FRSC while speaking at the inauguration of commercial driver’s licence in Ilorin said the measure would ensure that only mature commercial drivers would have the opportunity to drive and convey others.
“We want to peg the minimum age of a commercial driver in Nigeria at 26 to enable them have the experience, maturity and expertise to drive and convey people, unlike the present situation where we have underage people like 16-year-olds driving commercial vehicles,” he said.
He said the new upgraded National Driver’s Licence(NDL) was capable of reducing road traffic crashes on Nigerian roads.
“With the new driver’s licence, we want to have all the data of the commercial drivers in Nigeria. We don’t want to have a driver, who drives an 18-seater bus, to endanger the lives of the 18 people. It is only one commercial driver that dies where 18 people die”, he said. The FRSC sector commander also said that six driving schools had been approved to train commercial drivers before they are issued with the new driver’s licence.

Sheikh Ahmed Gumi: Christians are more dangerous than Boko Haram

Controversial Muslim cleric, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, has declared that Christians are more deadly than Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorist sect which has killed thousands of people mostly worshippers in places of worship.
Gumi made this declaration on his facebook page. He also said some Christians have hidden under the guise of government apparatus to perpetrate the murder of many prominent politician of northern extraction.
Gumi also linked the insecurity in the country to the activities of unidentified Christians whose motives have been to take over the leadership of the country.

Below is the full statement from Sheikh Gumi’s facebook page (Click Here)
WHY THE EVIL OF TERROR MAY LINGER
Any entity that employs unauthorized killing as a principle in achieving whatever goal it aspires is EVIL. Henceforth it is evident that the evil of terror is not confined to a small group of fanatical Muslims youth that employ the tools of terror to achieve their goals or revenge any perceived injustice against them or against Muslims as they claim. The Evil of terror is bigger and greater than that. The Evil of terror knows no boundary, religious, ethnic or racial. Evil killers are found everywhere.
For the Muslims, we are very fortunate that only a small fraction of misguided youth have recently adopted this evil ideology. Islam has seriously condemned the unauthorized killing of souls. The authority in Islam only belongs to a government duly elected by the consensus of the Ummah. We therefore see that except for very few instances, Muslims do not commit murder. The rampant murder committed in the west, is as a result of the irreligious life the west has adopted and bears little with the clamor of gun control. In Yemen, the populace is armed yet such murders are not an occurrence because Islam instills in the individual the discipline of self-restrain and control and forbids taking of one’s life and that of the others too. This cannot be said about the other religions.
The more deadly evil, is that evil that camouflage behind the ‘government’s security agencies’ to kill innocent people either to perpetuate power or score some political goals. For instance in Nigeria we have seen how some Christian elements in the Nigerian security apparatus have been killers of innocent Muslims leaders for political reasons. Such elements are deadlier evil than boko haram. They aimed to destroy the Muslims as a whole by decapitating their leadership thus exposing the Ummah to perpetual subservience. That is why Ababakar Tafawa Balewa, Sardauna, Akintola, and Gen Murtala all went victims of these terrorist.
These similar terrorist are still the ones now that are supposedly ‘leading’ the war against terror or war against  boko haram. It is a double edge sword of r them. Kill Muslim leaders and kill the youth at the same time all under camouflage. They are entrenched in the security apparatus. They are retiring good Muslims in the armed forces to enable them perfect their evil plans they started since 1966. They think they are in control because they are blinded by hate, rancor and evil, they cannot see that their evil is exposed and evident. They cannot see that Allah Has taken up the fight against them since their intentions are evil. Kaduna was meant to be devoured like Maiduguri when Allah The Al-mighty stroke.
They cannot see that you don’t guaranty your life by killing others; you do that by giving life to others. They fantasize that they can keep power by evil machinations whereas power belongs to Allah. Nigeria can only know peace and stability when such evil elements of the security apparatus are flushed out of the system instead of the good diligent officers. This is the deadliest segment that has been neglected and the public should know and watch. Evil will never prosper.
May Allah protect us all from all Evil.

How to become a millionaire in a very shot while.

http://payram.com/ref.php?page=act/ref&invcod=67731731

My marriage issues and the way forward – Chris Okotie opens up finally.

I speak big grammar to attract attention. || Marriage issues are spiritual. || My role in Nigeria politics:
Rev. Chris Okotie, Founder of the Household of God Church and presidential candidate of the recently de-registered Fresh Democratic Party, invited Hazeez Balogun to his Lagos home for an interview recently and spoke on issues including politics, church and his marriages.

How would you react to INEC’s recent deregistration of your party, FRESH?
First, we believe that this is a conspiracy between the ruling party and the INEC. It is unconstitutional and repugnant to the spirit of the constitution and it is an attempt by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to erase the voice of the opposition. It is also a ploy for the ruling party to perpetuate itself in power for as long as it can. We believe that the right thing to do is to go to court and expect the judiciary as the last bastion of our political and democratic experiment to remedy the situation and erase the aberration from our political landscape.
Pastor-Chris-OkotieWill you join another party if at the end the party stands deregistered?
It is too early to say anything on that. What INEC has done is a frustration of the whole democratic process. If it is not arrested it is the beginning of what I call a medieval autocracy. This is how Hitler began. We need to, by any means possible, stop this move by INEC. I am very confident that what INEC has done will be reversed by the judiciary. That is why I said it is too early to talk about that now.
Before last year’s elections you asked Nigerians to vote President Goodluck Jonathan out of power, do you have a different view of him now? With all due respect, I speak within the context of conventional propriety. He, as a Nigerian, has been given a great opportunity even though many of us say it is a great mistake and I still believe that. Look at the country; we are neither here nor there. It is the same story of corruption and stagnation. I still believe that Jonathan is a great mistake. I know that the elections were tampered with. He is the President today and I know that history will judge him based on what he does and what he does not do. I believe that, so far, he has done nothing beyond our expectations.
You and Tunde Bakare have a lot in common as men of the cloth who believe in Nigeria and also seek political positions. Do you think he is a man you can work with politically and should more religious leaders take part in politics?
I think Pastor Tunde Bakare has made a commitment to this country by all what he has done and I will be willing to work with him or anyone who has displayed same patriotic spirit. I may not agree with his political party and what they represent but, as an individual, he has demonstrated his own commitment to Nigeria. The Bible says that righteousness exalts a nation and sin is a reproach to a people. If Nigeria is going to change, there must be a paradigm shift; there must be a generational change. When I talk about generation, I am not talking about biological age bracket, but philosophy. The word generation comes from the word genes, and the capacity of an individual is contained within his genes. The genes that the PDP exhibits today have a pathological dysfunction within its protoplasm and therefore cannot take Nigeria beyond where it is today; we are just going through a vicious circle. I represent that generation that is waiting to take Nigeria to the next level and that is why we are not joining the PDP. The future does not belong to PDP and that is why people like me must wait for our time. A revolution is in the offing.
You went into music after obtaining a law degree
Actually, I was still studying law while I was into music. Before I finished schooling I had left music.
With a law degree in view, why did you go into music especially in those days when musicians were not really learned?
It was the music culture at the time. It exhibited a certain level of violence and irresponsibility. It created an atmosphere that did not go down well with parents and some music lovers. That changed when I was on the scene because people saw someone who was aspiring to be a lawyer and could sing very well. That was why my song was more acceptable. People listened more, not just to the music but also to what I had to say. When I began to speak and was able to articulate my thoughts, people were like this is new.
Was music financially rewarding?
It was good. We did not have the economic problems we have today. In fact, at that time, I was the highest paid musician in my genre. The whole country then was more united. You are accepted whether you come from the East, North or West as long as you are good. Music had a unifying power. Today, it is different because we do not have big companies that represent artistes. All we have are label owners. No company has branches across the country anymore. They really survive more now on endorsements.
When did you get the call to become a pastor?
Jesus appeared to me when I was three years old. My father then was a teacher in Uyo. I was a little boy then and really did not understand what it meant but I would tell everyone that I was a child of God. I had to accept Jesus completely when I was at the age of accountability. I did that when I was on campus in 1983. Then I did not know that I was going to be a minister. It was when I was in law school one morning when God spoke to me about going abroad. That was when I went to Oklahoma to study pastoring.
When people say that God speaks to them, is it that they hear his voice or He appears to them?
The first thing you have to ask yourself is that do you believe that God exists. Do you believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and you believe that they are persons? If they are persons then they can speak. He created the whole world when He spoke. It depends on what He wants to communicate. Sometimes He speaks to you through scriptures; sometimes through healings and prophesies; sometimes He speaks to you Himself and sometimes He sends an angel to speak with you like He sent to Mary.
After a life as a musician before going to study to be a pastor, how was it like when you began your ministry?
First, I was worried that I would not be taken seriously after my antecedent as a musician. I thought people would not consider what I was doing as a serious spiritual endeavour, but I was wrong. When I started ministering and I extrapolated from the scripture people started listening. We started very small. In fact, we started from my sitting room as a gathering point. Little by little we started to grow. That is how the work of God is. Like a seed we started to germinate and grow and today He has prospered the work.
It must have been challenging
Yes, there were organisational structures. I discovered that there are so many practices within the body of Christ that was unscriptural. I spoke up and said this is not the biblical position. It became very controversial. People thought that I was being overzealous. Some thought that I was presumptuous, but eventually they went back to the scriptures and found out that I was right.
Churches are becoming big businesses today and many pastors are living large while their followers are languishing in poverty. Some even fly private jets…
Let me put it this way, every minister of God is entitled to what God provides. It is not the congregation that provides; it is God. God can use the congregation or whoever. So, if the Lord makes provisions for that (private jet) then such a person has no reason to decline. I do not know what is going on in any ministry, but I will say that anything that we own must be scripturally based. Prosperity is a part of the gospel and not the entire gospel. It is a means to an end and not an end by itself. Your congregation is your first priority. When you walk into our auditorium, you will see that I care about my congregation. The facilities we have there you will not find anywhere else. Go to our children’s church or our nursery, you will see the facilities there are first-class. You would think the children there are those of multi-millionaires. You have to take care of the congregation first and foremost before anything else. When we first began, I did not have what I have today. Before I became prosperous, God had to test me to see if I will take care of my congregation. That is why you will see that we had air conditioning in the children’s department even when we just began. We also made sure that the church had property. We have landed properties and things like that. We believe in ‘seek ye first the kingdom of God and every other thing will be added unto you’. That is what I can say about my own ministry. We also cater for the poor.
If provided, would you own a private jet?
If it is necessary, why would I not? Right now, I do not need a private jet. I do not do the kind of job that requires a private jet. I do not have branches all around the country where I have to fly back and forth. I do not need it. It is not just about having a private jet; it is also very difficult to maintain. So, if a minister has the resources to do it, that is between him and God who provided it for him. It is really not my business. The most important thing is are you feeding the flock? Are you there as a pastor to teach? Does the spirit of God trust you to take care of the flock? These are the questions I ask myself even before I buy a car. Something must be clearly understood; prosperity is of God. It is not God’s desire that we are poor. Jesus became poor so that we can be rich.
Do you agree that some church leaders are getting rich at the expense of their followers?
I do not know. You need to supply me with empirical information to prove that. What I know is that there are many people who pose as Christians whereas they are not. I have challenged some of them in the past. They call themselves pastors and prophets. They do not belong to the flock of God. These are the ones we should be worried about because they are not Christians. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They claim to be children of the almighty God; you know those ones because I have dealt with them in the past. These are the ones who are involved in money laundering and behaviour that the church is being criticised for. It is not everybody who says I am a pastor that is a true pastor.
Large churches tend to own schools and universities; are we to see Household of God University soon?
It is possible. It depends on how the spirit directs. The church is the work of God; it is the vineyard of the almighty God. He determines what to do. Should Churches own universities? I say yes of course. It is part of the teachings. We must prepare this generation spirit, soul and body. If you remember in the past, churches owned schools. It is a step in the right direction. The moral rearmament of those times was stronger than what it is today. I will encourage churches to start schools and universities.
Are we to witness your third marriage?
I do not want to talk about that at this time. Spiritual matters cannot be understood by carnal minds. There are mysteries involved in the workings of a spiritual person. It is hard to be understood by minds that have not been elevated to such lofty heights. When we get to that bridge we will cross it.
Will it not be difficult for married couples in your church to approach you for counselling on marriage issues?
No. Those who spoke more about marriage issues in the Bible were not married. The revelation concerning marriage was given to us by Saint Paul who was a single man. Even Jesus spoke about marriage and he was not married. It is not the experience that teaches you what marriage is; it is the word of God. As long as you present the revelation of the word to your congregation and they apply it, then they will succeed. With the covenant that God has with man, God is stable; it is man who is not. If you notice, God brought Adam and Eve together in the Garden of Eden; they failed God, and God did not fail them. So, when people come together, they fail each other. If they do not subscribe to the word of God that marriage will not succeed. So, if there is an adherence to the word of God, the marriage will succeed. When you see that a marriage does not succeed, you should know that there must be a departure from the word of God.
You are a man of style; your hair and your suits always stand out.
Being a recording artiste sharpened my taste. I am more fashion conscious. I do not want to call myself a fashionista because that may sound cliché. I have good taste. The suit I wore recently on Sunday came off the runway from Dolce and Gabana’s new collection. When you look at the Bible, God was very particular about the apparel of the priesthood. I like good clothes and maybe it has to do with my orientation. Fashion has a way of giving you confidence.
It is said that when going to Household of God Church, you go with your Bible and your dictionary. You surely have a passion for fancy words. It is called grandiloquence. Some people have said that I have elevated diction. Truly, I use that just to get attention. Coming from my background some people thought that I did not have the intellectual capacity to do the job of a minister where you convey deep spiritual truth to people. When I was in school, I just love that elevated diction. It became a part of my communication. I read a joke recently about Patrick Obahiagbon and I trading words. It was all made up, but was very funny. Each man has his own style. Communication is very personal and you choose how you want to communicate. When I am speaking with ‘the press I speak with the same level of grandiloquence. I am from Delta. Pidgin English is our lingua franca. When I am at home I speak our language.
You have also established the Karis award, how do you pick awardees and winners?
We have a department in the church called the Benevolence Department; it handles the selection. We have nominations from all over the country and we investigate who deserves it.
Will you be contesting in the presidential election in 2015?
That is if Nigeria survives till then. If you look at the trajectory of our development you will see that a nation moving on this part cannot survive. That is why the United States made a prediction that by 2015 or thereabout Nigeria would have become a failed state and disintegrate. That is because they see the part that we are toeing. The part that the PDP has mapped out can only lead to destruction. I believe people who say that there will be a revolution. If Nigeria is still here I will definitely contest. But I believe that there is going to be a new Nigeria. There is going to be a kind of revolution that will bring Nigeria to a place of awakening or renaissance of some sort.
When you say revolution, do you consider that in this part of the world, when there are uprisings, usually, the military takes over? What exactly do you picture as a revolution?I do not know the form that it will take, but what I know is that it is not possible for Nigeria to carry on this way. The present government can only take us to the edge of the precipice. God dismantles every form of oppression, and I know that He is watching over Nigeria and He is going to dismantle all these juggernauts that believe that they own this country. This elitist philosophy of the PDP with which they have repressed Nigerian people will come to an end. How it is going to happen I do not know, but I know that something is going to happen that will remove from our consciousness, the nightmare that we have suffered as a result of irresponsible governance.
A lot of things are wrong with the country, if you indeed become the president, what will you do to bring immediate changes? There is no difference between Nigeria and other African countries. The problem is PDP. If they go, things will change.

Bose Ashade,22 year-old lady abducted and raped by her Ex-boyfriend in Lagos

Why would  the guy go that far?
On the 21st of December 2012, Bose Ashade who resides in Ligali street, Ojo road in Ajegunle area of Lagos was kidnapped right in front of her home.
No one could go for Bose’s rescue, as the thugs who came with motorcycles, were heavily armed and threatened to kill anyone who dared to frustrate their operation.
Her frightened grandmother could not be consoled as she wailed uncontrollably, wondering why anyone would choose to abduct her 22-year- old granddaughter who has been in her custody since the demise of her parents.
Bose Ashade raped by ex-boyfriend
However, about seven hours later, news filtered in that Bose had been rescued by policemen from Layeni division, somewhere around Arinu Ishola street, Alaba.
Upon inquiry, it was discovered that her abduction was masterminded by Ibrahim Bolaji her former boyfriend.
Bose as gathered had been in a relationship with Ibrahim for two years before the relationship went sour, over an unknown reason.
Ibrahim had on several occasions attempted to win back his girlfriend, all to no avail.
But along the line, he reportedly learnt that one of his friends was going out with Bose, a major reason he told Policemen made him abduct her.
“Even if she was leaving me, she should have at least, accorded me the respect by going for another person instead of my friend. It was like a slap on my face. I only sent some of my friends to abduct her so as to teach her a lesson. I never intended to collect any money as ransom”, he said.
But while in the hideout, Bose said she was raped by Ibrahim. At first, she said she thought the thugs were kidnappers.
“From  the way they operated, I concluded they were kidnappers.
My grandmother sent me on an errand that fateful evening and immediately I stepped out of the compound,   about nine men grabbed me and  started beating and dragging me at the same time on the ground. I begged them not to kill me, that I was not having any money with me. But they did not stop.
When I got to their hideout around Alaba, my ex-boyfriend, Ibrahim, came in. I was shocked and asked why he would do this to me. Before I could finish the statement, one of them landed a slap across my face. And right there, Ibrahim raped me asking if that was not what I wanted.
“When he finished with me, he left me in the room and directed his boys to keep an eye on me. But I had my phone with me and quickly text the location I was to my new boyfriend who contacted policemen at Layeni. The policemen arrived at about 12.30am and rescued me. But for their swift arrival I do not know what would have happened to me” she said, weeping.

Kaduna Assembly approves Bajoga as Deputy Governor

The Kaduna State House of Assembly on Thursday approved the nomination of Nuhu Bajoga as the state’s Deputy Governor.
Mr. Bajoga’s nomination was approved at the plenary of the House chaired by the Deputy Speaker, Matoh Dogara, in Kaduna.
Mr. Dogara attributed the approval of the new deputy governor to his experience in politics both at the state and federal levels.
The lawmaker also said that Mr. Bajoga merited the position of the deputy governor, being a former ambassador.

Photo evidence:Femi Otedola’s past haunting him,in trouble with 26 year-old baby mama.

It’s true that the rich also cry! He might be showing whiff of money and wealth in town but the oil and gas magnate, Femi Otedola past is already haunting him like shadow. The former Lagos State governor’s son, Michael Otedola, Femi is having a serious issue with his 26 year-old love child mama, Olayinka Odukoya. The child at the centre of this mumbo-jumbo, Christie is said to be a split image of Femi, the Forte Oil boss.
Then loved-up Femi, we learnt, had put Olayinka in a family way when he was selling stationeries at Iponri area of Lagos, and the result of that effort was 26 years old, Christie, the first from his loin but his mum did not only show disapproval, she condemned their dalliance: she sent the poor baby mother away and took the baby to her custody.

In spite of Femi’s mother’s rejection, the arrow of love hit Femi again and he found himself in the arms of Olayinka, who second time around got pregnant for the Femi who has since married delectable, Nana Otedola, the Managing Director, Garment Care and blessed with children. As fate would have it, she lost the pregnancy seven months after. Since then, their paths never crossed, Olayinka was shut away from her only child, and her world became empty. She became lonesome, afraid of men, afraid to love again. Now she’s on a search for her long-lost daughter, her treasure, Christy.
Below is the interesting story as said by the mother of the first daughter of Femi, the former Zenom oil boss with pictures to prove, the emotional distressed mother provides insight into what went wrong with the romance, how Mr Otedola and his parents hoodwinked her into parting with her child and other intimate details in this interview…Enjoy.

For the purpose of this interview, can i have your full names?
I’ am Olayinka Odukoya.
What kind of relationship existed between you and Mr. Femi Otedola?
We used to have a love affair.
Was the love affair one that your parents knew about? I mean your own parents and his parents?
What happened was that I just finished from secondary school at that time and I was even working when he approached me for a relationship. I accepted his advances and somewhere along the line, I realised that I’d taken in for him. And this was a time I was just offered an admission into the School of Nursing in Ikoyi; I was only waiting to go for pre-registration interview before I realised I was pregnant. And at that point in time, there was a man, Mr. Tobun father’s house at Odo-Irangusi.
It was through my friend that was dating the contractor that I met Femi. And he promised me heaven and earth. As a matter of fact, we both sworn to an oath with the Holy Bible never to leave each other. I was about 21 years at that time and it was at that point that we started sleeping together and I got pregnant for him. And he accepted it. But in the long run, I realised that he didn’t tell his parents at home that he had put a lady in the family way. It was that Mr. Tobun that later went to his dad to tell him that his son had impregnated a young lady in Ijebu. And his mum later called him to probe him over it after the dad complained to her.
SCROLL DOWN FOR PHOTO EVIDENCE…

But he lied to his mum initially that he did not impregnate anybody. Meanwhile, I used to go to their house regularly before then to the extent that all his younger siblings were familiar with me. His mum even knew me, though she did not know that I was dating her son which was the real purpose of my frequent visit to their house. She thought I was only a friend to Femi’s sisters. So, since I took in, I would go to him to collect money for my upkeep and things like that. As a matter of fact, I contemplated aborting the pregnancy at a point because I felt it was affecting the continuation of my education but unfortunately for me then, an old man overheard me telling a friend about my planned abortion and the old man went straight to leak it to my mum. So, my mum came to take me from where I was back home so as to prevent me from aborting the pregnancy. And my dad too also prevailed on me never to try aborting the pregnancy with the counseling that it is not only people that are well educated that make it in life. So, I later went to tell Femi that my parents were well aware of the pregnancy and he also plead with me to keep the pregnancy.
What was Mr. Femi Otedola doing then? Was he working or still in school?
He was a trader at Iponri Shopping Complex selling stationery materials. And since his dad was running a printing press then, he was also supplying them materials to work with. And when we realised he was not showing up at our house like it was expected, my parents said I should tell him that they wanted to meet his parents and he said no problems. But when he refused to come with his parents like he promised, a sister to my mum who was a registrar was even nursing the doubt that I might not know the real owner of my pregnancy and she attributed her doubt to the fact that the Otedola’s were well-to-do and very responsible, so they would not tolerate their son impregnate a girl and not do the right thing. So, there was a resolve that my mum should follow me to their house and when we got there, it was Femi himself that opened the gate for us. And when we met his dad, Baba Otedola, and told him a bout the pregnancy, he probed Femi over it and he told his dad that he was the one responsible for it. And the dad said he would have loved his mum to be at home for the meeting because when he first heard about the issue and raised it with the mum, Femi vehemently denied knowing anything about the pregnancy to the extent that the mum was saying any girl that was claiming to have gotten pregnant for her son should go and take care of it in her parent’s house. Since her son had said he didn’t impregnate any girl. But the dad said we should not worry about it and that he would always send money for my upkeep. And shortly before I would deliver my baby, the mum came around at the prompting of Baba Otedola, I guess, she came with Baba Otedola’s elder sister. They said they were the owners of the pregnancy since it’s their son that was responsible for it. And when I delivered my baby, a naming ceremony was organised at their house for my daughter.
So, since everything was cordial to that point, how did the denial of access to your daughter come into play?
Thank you. That’s exactly what I am about to tell you. After the naming ceremony, Femi came later to tell me that his mum said he should not marry me. And I was like if she says that then, maybe you should leave me alone. But he said he could not do that. Later on, I told him I wanted to learn Hair Dressing since I could not go to the School of Nursing any more. But he advised that I should go to a Catering school instead. So, I went to Catering school and it was while I was there that I got pregnant for him again. But his mum still stood strongly against our getting married. Meanwhile, I had a forced labour when the pregnancy got into the 7th month which I had as a still birth. In fact, I almost lost my life during the delivery. It was the placenta that came out first before the dead baby came out buttocks first instead of the head. My dad later went to meet him that, Femi, so, so, thing happened to me. Though, he was fully aware that I was pregnant for him again, but he apparently did not inform his parents. So, it was when my dad went to their house that his dad too knew about it and challenged him over it. But in his usual manner, he denied having anything to do with the pregnancy and I later told him that thank God I did not die in the course of the forced labour because that is how he would have denied me in death.
I reminded him of how he lied that he did not know anything about Christy’s pregnancy before he later accepted to be the one responsible. And shortly after that was when his mum became extremely hostile to me, telling his son that he saw girls from rich background, he didn’t go to them. That, why would he go for someone from a humble background like me. And it was because Femi told me that his mum might accept me if we had a second child that I accepted to get pregnant for him again. But when they said I should bring my daughter Christy to them when she was a little over 2 years, so that she could start kindergarten, I left her for them. But ever since then, the mum would not allow me to see my daughter.
There was even a festive period that my younger siblings went to their house to ask them to allow my daughter to come and spend some time with us, the mum refused. And I later went myself but as soon as the mum saw me, she took my daughter inside and locked her up. And when all my efforts to see my daughter became abortive, I later told them that I would always be my daughter’s mother because they cannot buy another mother for her no matter how much they prevent me from seeing her. And again, my mum’s younger sister told me not to worry because when it gets to a point my daughter would ask for her mum. But when she (Christy) was 15 and was schooling in Akure, Ondo State, while she lived with her father’s younger brother, I still made an attempt to go and see her there, yet they prevented me. And that was the point in time I decided to leave the South-West for the Northern Part of the country to cool-off. So, I stayed and worked in the North for some time before I returned few years ago. Meanwhile, I was already aware that my daughter had been taken abroad for further studies.
And I even made an attempt to be close to Otedola’s house but each time I went, Femi’s mum was always like “what do you want?” And I would tell her that I only came around to say hello and also to know if you are hearing from my daughter.
But when it got to a point, I could no longer cope with not seeing my daughter, I sent a Reverend Father to the mum to beg her for me. And she was like I should never again in my life send any emissary to beg her again. And about 7 years ago, I told my younger brother that I felt I would need to take the matter to a relevant government authority to contest my right to see my daughter for me. But my brother said I should not go that far that he would go and talk to Femi man to man. Meanwhile, at that point I was always texting Femi asking about the well-being of my daughter, he would not reply any of the messages. There was even a day I went to his Zenon House in Victoria Island. He saw me face to face as he was driving in because I was standing at the gate. And when he got out of the vehicle, he looked back at me and I said “Femi, you are the one I have come to see”. But he rushed into the office and never came out till I left. I got there around 8am and left at 12 noon. I later dropped a note for him with his security guys stating that I did not come to fight him but to see him and ask after my daughter. The number that my younger brother had was no longer going through, so, he got another number of his from me which he called without any one picking it. And he decided to send him a text that why would he not allow his sister to see her daughter. And that he should redress the situation since the child belongs to him and his sister.
But by the second or third day, he called his mum to go and warn Felix, that is my brother, that he was threatening his life. And the mum went straight to my dad’s house to fight him. That he should warn his son who was threatening the life of her son. My dad called my younger brother from Ijebu immediately asking why my
brother would wade into the matter. And when my brother went to Ijebu some time later, he told anyone that cared to listen to go and tell Femi’s mum that he had come to town and that she should come and arrest him, maybe the Police would be able to resolve the matter once and for all. But after spending 3 days without seeing anyone come to arrest him, he returned to Lagos.
So what happened after then?
We decided to give them some time again before raising issues over the matter. In fact, at a point, I decided to go to Human Rights Advocacy Groups and I was already in Ikeja with pictures before my brother called me and plead that I should not do anything like that. Because no two opposing parties in a court case return as friends.
He said he believed dialogue could still do it. Meanwhile, I had gone to the monarch in our town, Kabiyesi Odu-Iragusi, to plead with them for me but they still turned deaf ears. I even went to one Tejuosho’s son who is Femi’s friend in Ilupeju, Lagos, to discuss the matter with him. But still nothing changed. My brother even went to the Kabiyesi over the matter for the second time, yet they did not yield to my request to see my daughter. So, about 5 years ago, Femi’s mum told me that I should not worry that as soon as my daughter was through with her Masters Degree, I would be allowed to see her. And after Christy finished her master’s, it was Femi’s mum that called to tell me about it and asked if I was coming to Ijebu for Xmas to which I said yes. And she said she would make sure that I see my daughter. But as I speak to you my brother, I have still not set my eyes on my daughter.
Interestingly enough, during the last subsidy removal crises, I was just leaving Irangusi for Omu, when one of my younger brothers called me that he just sighted my daughter in town. And I took a bike with N1,500 that day to return to Iragusi, a journey that was not supposed to be more than N300.00. But when I almost got to Otedola’s house, I caught a glimpse of my daughter being chauffeur-driven out and I was trying to wave down the vehicle but she did not see me.
How long ago is it now that you had a contact with your daughter last?
I have not had any contact with her since they took her from me when she was a little over 2 years old.
Do you have any idea of what she is doing abroad now?
I think she is now working there. Because Femi’s mum once told me something like that.
And you have not spoken with Mr. Femi Otedola too?
Yes. I have not spoken with him ever since. Even when his dad celebrated his birthday last year and I went there, he avoided me all through. Even, his older brother who I spoke with and told that they have not allowed me to see my daughter for years could not believe it because the brother just returned to Nigeria from abroad. And he promised to do something about. Yet, nothing has happened.
Are you married to someone else as we speak?
Not really. I only had an affair with a man for whom I also have a daughter, Eniola. But I could not bring myself to marry him because Femi’s experience has made me to be scared of men.
So, what exactly do you want from Mr. Femi Otedola?
All I want is access to my daughter and the full rights to be a mother to her. Because they could have told her mum i

Nkiru Silvanus kidnappers used rape to force her family to pay N8million ransom

Fresh facts are emerging with regards to the kidnap of Nkiru Sylvanus:
“Initially, the family paid N7million to the kidnappers and the police who laid ambush swooped on them at the point of collection and recovered the money that was locked in the trunk of their car as they escaped…
“After we returned the money to the family, they went behind us and paid N8milliom to the kidnappers. Surprisingly I saw Nkiru in my office after she was released, and I was told they paid N8million to secure her release”. Those were the words of the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Baba Adisa Bolanta, while frowning at the decision of the actress’ family to pay ransom to her kidnappers against police warnings.

The Police boss didn’t really understand Nkiru’s predicament in the hands of her abductors. They said her family was forced to defy the police and pay ransom to the kidnappers “when the issue of rape came in”.
The kidnappers allegedly “tampered” with Nkiru and even threatened her family that they would impregnate her if the ransom was not paid “immediately”. At this stage, the actress family was no longer sure the Police could rescue her unhurt, hence they paid N8million.
At the moment only a few persons know about the rape angle of the kidnap saga…

U.S to send soldiers early next year to tackle Boko Haram

We will start seeing U.S Soldiers in Nigeria in 2013 as part of efforts to curb  and train countries to battle terrorists. The U.S Army brigade will dispatch small teams to as many as 35 African countries. It is part of Pentagon’s effort to battle extremists.
The small teams will only train and equip and will not be permitted to conduct military operations without specific  approval from secretary of defense. The sharper focus on Africa by the U.S. comes against a backdrop of widespread insurgent violence across North Africa, and as the African Union and other nations discuss military intervention in northern Mali.
The terror threat from al-Qaida linked groups in Africa has been growing steadily, particularly with the rise of the extremist Islamist sect Boko Haram in Nigeria. Officials also believe that the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, which killed the ambassador and three other Americans, may have been carried out by those who had ties to al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb.

For the guys:Five sure ways to make a woman want you

Women want the ideal man who is confident, self-sufficient and respectable.
Getting women to fall for you is not as hard as it may seem. Making women feel a deep attraction to you doesn’t require expensive gifts, extravagant gestures or rock hard abs. In fact, all it really requires is a little charm and a few good manners. Mastering the following 5 qualities will set you on your way to becoming the man women will be fighting for.sure ways to make a woman want you
1. Present yourself as the ideal man
One of the worst mistakes a man can make is being insecure, desperate and intimidated-constantly seeking a woman’s approval. Women want the ideal man who is confident, self-sufficient and respectable. When you display these traits, along with maintaining strong eye contact, good posture and slow body gestures and movements, most women will take notice of you
2. Learn to dress smarter
The first impression matters a lot and how you dress is a big part of the impression you create. Just like women use make-up to appear prettier than they really are, men can improve their appearance through their style of dress. Keeping yourself up and adapting a style that suits you sends the message that you know how to dress, you’re unique, interesting, mature and successful. Most women love clean, well-groomed and stylishly dressed men because it shows that you are organized and can take care of yourself.
3. Make friends with women
Keeping friendships with women is one of the best strategies for consistently meeting women. In fact, making female friends can lead to you being introduced to lots of available women and will help you get over any anxiety you may have of approaching women. Women will more often talk to men who are with other women, so by keep these friendships intact, you’ll make HUGE headway in becoming the high-status guy women can’t get enough of.
4. Give them genuine compliments
Learning to fulfill a woman’s craving for compliments will definitely set you apart from other men; however, most men mess it up and end up sitting alone at the bar. To compliment women the right way, the most important thing to remember is not what you say, but how you say it. Focus on the their values and what they deem important. Give compliments with a confident voice tone and a smile on your face and never underestimate the importance of eye contact.
5. Let them chase you
Quickly pursuing attractive women can often cause them to run away from you. Instead, stop chasing women and make them pursue you. Doing this will set you up as a challenge in their minds and cause them to be MORE LIKELY to want to be with you in a romantic way.

Bus driver in Lagos killed by LASTMA official during struggle today

The LASTMA officials tried to seize the deceased car.
A commercial bus driver, Isaac Popoola, died on Monday after a fierce struggle with an officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA.
The 54-year-old breathed his last after the traffic officer allegedly hit his head on a metallic part of the bus as they struggled for control of the steering wheel.
Witnesses said that the bus left Egbeda/Akowonjo at around 6 a.m. on its way to Oshodi when a LASTMA patrol van pulled up in front of the vehicle as they approached Oshodi.
“Two officers approached the bus and one told the driver to come down and he refused. So they began to struggle,” a witness said.
The bus conductor ran into the nearby Mosafejo police station, and before he returned, his driver’s lifeless body was resting in the driver’s seat.
And a little crowd, which had gathered during the scuffle, had seized the officer.
At the Area F Police Headquarters, Ikeja, Mr. Popoola’s lifeless body lay in his bus with Lagos registration number XL166SMK. His colleagues and family members gathered around the bus; the wife’s periodic cry shattering the stillness of the afternoon.
“He is very gentle, humble. I don’t know why the LASTMA man killed my husband. Now I’m a widow,” said Dupe, the deceased’s wife, who stated that she was preparing to go to her shop when someone broke the news to her via a phone call.
“From where will I start? My children do not have father again. Who’s going to render the help? Very terrible, I can’t bear it. Who’s going to help me?” Mrs. Popoola said.
LASTMA have quickly disowned the alleged perpetrators of Monday’s fatal incident.
While naming Adesanya Olatunde and Ogunride Oludele as some of the culprits, the agency stated that the officers “acted on their own” and flouted operational guidelines.
“Adesanya was later identified by the Provost Marshall of the agency and handed over to the police while Oludele, who was reported to be off duty as at the time of the incident, was still at large,” Babatunde Edu, the General Manager of the agency, said in a statement.
“Effort is on to arrest other suspects connected with the incident,” he added.

Victor Osuagwu, nigerian comic actor weds with a truck

Celebrities frequently boost their star appeal by adding a touch of class to their birthdays and weddings.  Nowadays, it has become a trend for many A-List actors to turn their weddings into occasions of mind-blowing extravaganza and razzmatazz. Consequently, some celebrities have bragging rights to first-of its-kind weddings. Famous examples include the 1996 Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde’s white wedding on board a mid-flight plane from Lagos to Benin and the recent Stephanie Okereke-Idahosa’s “French fairy tale nuptials” in Paris.
However, when it was the turn of Nollywood comedian, Victor Ifeanyichukwu Osuagwu, rather than engineering another occasion of glitz and glamour, the comedy merchant chose to spice his wedding with an unprecedented comic twist. Instead of riding with his bride in a “Just Wedded” branded vehicle to the venue of the reception, the man famously called “Adam Piccolo,” fresh from the altar, walked down the aisle straight into the back of an open truck. This unscripted high-octane comic relief was the interlude of the wedding which took place on December 8, 2012, in Port Harcourt when the star of Adams Goes To School officially solemnized his union with Roseline Nchelem, his wife of over 12 years and mother of his four children.

The bride and the groom arrived separately in Black G-Class Mercedes and Wine colour Range Rover respectively at St. Paul Anglican Cathedral, located at Diobu Garrison Junction, Aba Road Port Harcourt. The colourful nuptial was attended by fans, friends and family members dressed in Gold and Wine colour clothes. The service started by 9 a.m. and it went like clock-work with the usual knot-tying formalities. The Osuagwu children, two boys and two girls, were part of the bridal train as Little Grooms and Little Brides. In fact, the ring bearer was the couple’s son, while the best man and chief bridesmaid were none other than, Nollywood actor Francis Duru and his wife, Adokiye.
After the exchange of vows, Osuagwu, formerly a member of the Boys Brigade, was honoured by the brigade corps in a display match during which he was awarded a badge of honour, before curtain was drawn on the church service with a 33-category photo session.
By 12 noon, guests left the church and made their way to the venue of the reception at UPE Primary School opposite University of Port Harcourt. As the wedding convoy, led by the brigade band and a Rapid Response Squad police team, traversed the streets of Port Harcourt, they attracted attention and the over 30-minute drive became a massive street procession with the kind of razzmatazz peculiar to popular street carnivals in the Caribbean.
The reception was a series of activities that include cake-cutting, kolanuts presentation, and dance session. Thereafter, the traditional marriage rites followed. The occasion was further pepped up by the appearance of other Nollywood funnymen namely John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, and the duo of Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme, famously known as Aki and Pawpaw. The crowd went agog the moment the diminutive pair was spotted. Similarly, Mr Ibu was mobbed by the crowd. Other celebrity that graced the occasion includes former President of Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, (AGN) Ejike Asiegbu, “Kade” singer Muma Gee and her husband as well as stand up comedian Julius Agwu, who thrilled the audience with his hit song “Handwork.” The reception was enlivened with music and various cultural displays. Osuagwu was so inebriated with joy that he danced uncontrollably round the open-air venue. “I am so honoured, seeing a lot of people come to my wedding. I appreciate everybody for coming,” an overwhelmed Osuagwu gave his vote of thanks to all. Unfortunately a downpour forced an early end to the show at about 5:30 pm.
Most of the out-of-town guests who attended the wedding lodged at the Tokyu Grand Hotel, located at Stadium Road. Following the interruption of the festivity by the rain, a sort of after-party ensued in at the hotel. In the thick of the revelry, another Nollywood ace comedian, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, made an appearance at about 9 pm. Few days after, Osuagwu’s “wedding in a truck” was the talk of the town in Port Harcourt and its environs.

NYSC member lose one eye to Police brutality in Ekiti

A National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) member serving in Ekiti State, Anthony Ebuka Onuagbara has lost one of his eyes to police brutality, following an injury he sustained when he was allegedly beaten by some police in Ado Ekiti recently
Anthony 26, who hails from Ezeama-Amichi , Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, lost his right eye to police brutality, after he was beaten by the police for an offence he did not commit in August this year
The Corp member who is currently serving at the Bursar’s office in Ekiti State University has appealed to Ekiti State police command to investigate the matter with a view of identifying the cop that caused damage on his eye.
Narrating the circumstances that led to his ordeal, Anthony recounted that sometimes in August that a commercial sex worker had reported that one of his neighbour had abused her sexually.
The complaint, according to him, led a team of policemen from the Special Anti-robbery Squad to his house at Bode Ayeni area of Adebayo who beat the occupant?
According to the Corpmember, his colleague, Michael had picked the lady at about 6pm on August 12, 2012 at Fajuyi Area of Ado Ekiti to spend the night with him with the agreement to pay her N3,000 the second day
He further recounted that disagreement ensued immediately Michael took the lady home at about 8pm on that day because Michael confessed that he could only offer the lady N2,000 .He said Michael’s action infuriated the lady and this forced her to the SARS Operatives and reported the case to them by lying that he was abused sexually, even when no sex took place between them.
The ‘youth corper’ further explained that shortly after the lady left, some SARS operatives bombarded the premises at about 11pm, broke their doors and unleashed beatings on the occupants.

For over a decade, delectable and multi-talented actress, Grace Amah, has been as constant as a “northern star” in Nollywood. Since she first appeared in the1999 Lancelot Imasuen-directed flick, Chain, she has been dazzling fans and remains very much in demand. Echoes of her acting prowess from the hit TV drama series Superstory still reverberates.   After a brief break due to childbirth, she is back to thrill her numerous fans.
In this riveting encounter with Entertainment Express, the Ebonyi-born thespian opened up on many issues affecting her, especially life as a single mother and her planned comeback into Nollywood.
It would be nice to begin with you and your background
My name is Grace Amah. I am Igbo. I hail from Ebonyi State. I’m from a family of four. I’m a Nollywood actress.
nollywood actress grace amah

Your foray into movie industry, how did it begin?
I did my first movie in August 1999. The movie was entitled Chain, produced by Louis Isikafor and directed by Lancelot Oodua Imasuen.
How did you feel the first time you appeared before the camera?
I must confess, it was fun and exciting. It was a dream comes true for me. I was like, “God, I’m finally doing what I’ve wanted to do.”
Over the years, you have many films to your credit, which of them brought you to the limelight?
I would say the part I played in the popular soap-opera Superstory with the title ‘One Bad Apple’ really pushed me to the top.  But along the line, the home video Chain made me prominent as well. But to be candid what actually shot me to limelight was Superstory. I guess because it was a series drama  and also a network thing as well, where everybody at home watched and was very familiar with.
For sometimes now, you seem to be lying low in your acting career, what happened?
I don’t agree with that. I am not lying low.  I’ve been on break after having my baby, but now I’m fully back into the industry now.
Is your child a boy or a girl?
He is a boy and doing great. He is a year plus now, almost two years, which is the normal time you give for a break after having a baby.
How do you intend to fit in because they are lots of young, hot and desperate new stars that are determined to take over Nollywood?
I’m not struggling with anybody. I am Grace Amah; what I can do, I can do, what they can do, they can do as well. We’ve got different things we have to, what we put on ground. My coming back into the industry by God’s grace will not be a problem, and I’m not going to find it difficult, because I know I’m going to come back. In fact, I have fully bounced back for good. And with time, everyone would surely see that Grace is back.
What makes you feel that you would still fit in at this time?
I can fit in anywhere. I still have my looks. I still have my portable self (laughs), so I am not scared. I don’t even think it is a challenge. When you talk about fitting in, is it the acting? My acting skills is there, so, my fitting in is not difficult for me, it’s just for me to get it straight, get to know what the script is all about, and play the role well.
How do you intend to manage acting and motherhood, because both jobs are tasking?
It’s all about getting one’s priority right. I am not going to let one disturb the other. I’m going to do it and do it well, and it’s not by my power. I can’t say that it is easy. It’s not easy, but with God on my side, and everybody placed well, things work well for me.
At a time, you had to travel to other states to shoot, who do you hand over your child to?
My mom. She is in Lagos.
And she supports what you do?
Oh yes, everybody supports what I’m doing, and they’ve been there for me. My parents, sibling – in fact all my family members have been supportive.
How about your fiancé, is he not in Nigeria?
I’m not married yet, but he is not in the country, my fiancé is abroad.
How do you communicate with him?
We do communicate. We talk on phone steadily. So no cause for alarm.
When last did you see him?
Why do you want to know how long I see him? It’s our business we know how we tackle it (laughs). Though I’ve not seen him in a while but we talk to ourselves and get along with our selves. For now that’s all that matters.
And you think that’s not a barriers?
No, it’s not a barrier; it’s about understanding and working things out. His job is not here and my own job is here, so it’s just a matter of working it right and at the appointed time we would get everything done.
Since you came into the industry, what improvement has acting made in you as a person?
It has done a lot to me. Lots of things, I wouldn’t personally have been able to do, but with the help of acting or with my fame I was able to achieve them.  I still take due advantage of that easily.  What an ordinary person or persons would find difficult to get, when it is my turn, I am favoured.  In fact, I don’t have any regret for it
It is glaring that acting has both good and bad sides, what has acting and fame cost you?
It has cost me my privacy. That’s all I can say. As an actress, you’d want to do some things, but because you are an actress, because you are famous, you can’t do them for fear of what people are going to say. However, I try as much as possible to be myself because at the end of the day, it’s about me first before any other person and I also put lots of efforts not to let my fans down.
You have been out of the movie world for sometimes now, during those period, what where you doing?
Like I said earlier, I was taking care of myself, kid and home.
What movie are you working on now, and when should we be expecting them?
You know, one good thing about movie-making is that you get started with a particular name, the title and at the end of the day it comes out with something else. Right now in the market I have The Fake Prophet by Teco Benson, and I also have Break Away and a couple of others that I don’t even know when they are coming out.
When do you plan to produce your own movie?
At the appointed time I’m going to produce my own movie. I will not produce a movie because everybody is doing it I’m going to do it at the appointed time.
And when is the supposed appointed time?
When I said the appointed time, appointed time means when God says it is time to do it. I am sure you don’t know what God has in stock and what God’s plan is; that’s what I mean by the appointed time.
Many movie stars are into music, do you intend to go into music at any time?
Music? No. I don’t think so.
You always look good and inviting, how do you handle your fans, especially the male ones.
Talking about my male fans, there is really nothing difficult about that. It is not a crime to admire the work of God. It is not a crime to admire what I do and especially when you do something and you are doing it so well and you get people  to appreciate you, it’s really a thing of joy. So, when I work, I work with the mind of passing a message across and in return get favourable commendations from my fans out there. So I feel so happy about it, but when they come with otherwise intent, there’s always something I say in order to chase them away, I used to tell them that I’m a mother but you know some of them would always be stubborn, saying it doesn’t matter, that it’s not a new thing with them.
How do you handle scandals?
I am not a controversial person. I like living a low-key life. Like they say, a gold fish has no hiding place. As much as I have tried to live a low-key life, I cannot control other people’s conversation  about me or whatever is written about me. But Grace Amah is a shy person and likes to live her life as a godly person.
How did your parents feel when they found out that you got pregnant out of wedlock?
Like every normal parent would feel. Oh, she didn’t get married first. But you would also want to agree with me that it is not everybody that has to get married before having a child. So it happened, I wouldn’t because I have to get married first terminate an innocent child, so what is better is to have the child.
I learnt you came from a very strict family. When you first noticed you were pregnant, what was your first reaction?
I was like what would my parents say. But I’m not a child. I am an adult. So that answers it.
There was once a story of paternity controversy about  your child-
I didn’t expereince such situation.
Are you saying there was never a time he denied his child?
Not at all. How would you deny a child that looks like you?
Before he was born, there was nothing like that, you can only deny a child when you know the woman is promiscuous, or when the man is not a responsible person. Those are just the two reasons I know why a man would deny his child.
Do you have any plan to settle down with him?
You would get to hear when the time comes.
How soon would that be?
I don’t know, but don’t worry, you would get to know. You all would come and cheer me up on that day (laughs).
Your fiancé is not in town, when that feeling comes how do you deal with it?
What feeling?
The sexual feeling-
Oh really! That’s when the phone comes in.
Can phone do the magic?
Exactly. When I hear him, it’s all fine.
Does conversation satisfies your sexual urge?
It may not work for you that way, but it works for me.
We heard your fiancé is already married, why did you go for an already married man?
I don’t do such things and to the best of my knowledge, I am not aware that he was or is married-
Are you telling me that you have never heard it anywhere that he is married or was married?
Like I said earlier, I am not aware of it.
What if you find out that he is married, how would you react-
It is really a funny question  because I have known my man for years and he has no woman in his life. Period

Housemaid kills boss and takes over his business

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a manager and a housemaid for killing their boss, Alhaja Sikirat Eko, in Omole Phase 1, Lagos State.
Eko was said to be running a restaurant and bar in her compound, where she lived alone with the maid.
According to the police authorities, the suspects allegedly killed Eko at her home located on 5, Babatunde Ladega Street and kept her corpse within the premises.
The suspects were said to have continued to run the restaurant, giving neighbours and customers the impression that the deceased had travelled.
The two were said to have run out of luck when relatives of the deceased came on a visit. When the suspects could not provide a satisfactory answer, the matter was said to have been reported at Area G Command, in Ogba.
A police source who preferred to remain anonymous, told our correspondent that the manager threw Eko into a well inside the compound along with a generator.
The manager was said to have taken her phone which he used in impersonating her.
“The manager was using the deceased’s phone and assumed her identity. Sometimes, he would send text messages with her phone, telling people that all was well”, he said.
It was learnt that when the house was thoroughly searched, Eko’s corpse was found in a decomposing state.
A family friend, who preferred to remain anonymous, said, “Mummy (Eko) has just one child and she lives in the United Kingdom. When she could not get her mother on the telephone, she called relatives to help her find out what was wrong.
“When the relatives got there, the manager told them that she had travelled. The relatives became suspicious because the house was left open and the manager behaved as if he was the owner of the house. The relatives then reported the matter to the police.”
Our correspondent, who visited the area on Thursday, observed that the gate of the premises was locked.
A security guard in the area said Eko hadn’t been seen by neighbours in over two months.
The security guard described the deceased as a very nice but strict woman.
He said, “The last time we saw madam (Eko) was during Sallah. When we asked the housemaid her whereabouts, she said she had travelled to Abuja. I became suspicious because her vehicle was still parked outside the compound.
“It wasn’t until Saturday when policemen stormed the area that we knew what had happened. Policemen arrested about five of us, thinking that we were among but fortunately, the manager and the maid confessed.
“The incident is very sad because madam (Eko) was a very nice person. There was one time that my motorcycle was seized. She was the one that urged the police to give it back to me.”
When contacted on the telephone, the spokesperson for the state police command, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident to our correspondent.

86 year-old Nigerian Musician,Fatai Rolling Dollar,says he has 20 girlfriends and 3 wives

Fatai Rolling Dollar,86-year-old musician who rose to fame after his “won kere si number wa” track in a recent interview talks about his family and marriage.

What was your childhood like?
I was very rascally. Oh yes, when I was growing up, I was an original rascal.
And women loved you then?
fatai-rolling-dollar has 20 girlfriends

Yes, they loved me because of my job. You know women love musicians. Apart from that, I was very handsome when I was much younger. I was light-skinned.
Tell us about your love life?
I’m admired by lots of women because I’m strong.
Where is the source of your strength?
God almighty is the source of my strength. I don’t smoke weed, I don’t take medicine but I smoke cigarette (he says, puffing hard on his cigarette). My strength is from God and can you imagine that today, all over the world, I’m the oldest musician that is still playing on the stage?
Why are you this strong even in your old age?
You know, there is something somebody should not take when he becomes old. I don’t take meat, for instance.  I’m off beer as well. But my major problem is women (he paused for a while, gazing up at the writer).
But you said you admire women a lot, how are they then your major problem?
I still say it that women are my major problem. I love them so much. You don’t blame me for that; after all, my mother is a woman and I loved her so much and she loved me.
So, women are problems to me, especially when I see the beautiful ones. I admire them a lot and that admiration is from the bottom of my heart. Do you know I have a daughter of two years from my third wife?
That goes to show how much I love women. Look at me, at my age, I’m stile agile and I’m still producing (giggles).
Are you romantic?
Yes I am, don’t I look it? At 86, I’m still very romantic. If I meet a woman who is not romantic, I would teach her to be romantic. I will teach the person the A, B, C of romance. lol.
How many wives do you have?
I have two black women and one white woman. You know I travel a lot, so I met my white wife abroad and I married her.
Do you have a girlfriend now?
Yes, I have. I have up to 20.

Twenty? How are you able to be with all of them?

No, there is no sex in the relationship. We just stay together and I advise them. They bring goodies to me. You know women have power to bring good things. They have the power to open good doors of success. That is why we can’t do without them.
