Okonjo Iweala’s mother kidnappers demand $1billion

There are multiple reports that the kidnappers of the mother of Nigeria’s Finance minister, Prof. Ngozi Okonjo Iwela, Professor Kamene Okonjo, who was kidnapped yesterday at the palace of her husband, Professor Chukwuka Okonjo, the traditional ruler (Obi) of Ogwashi-Ukwu, have reportedly made contact with the family demanding a ransom of $1billion.
For now, no concrete detail has been established  on the reported demanded ransom by the abductors. Okonjo Iwela’s mother, who is believed to be in her late 70′s and a medical doctor, was kidnapped at about 1:30pm on Sunday in Delta State.
