Escravos GTL shut down, by citizen Okon

Operational activities at the multi-billion naira Escravos-Gas-To-Liquid, EGTL project,  has been shut down by workers in a second day of protest over demand for end of contract pay-off and other allowances.
According to citizen reporter Okon, workers of the project located in Warri South Local Government  have vowed not to rescind their decision on the ongoing protest untill all their grievances are resolved.
Escravos GTL is a gas to liquids (GTL) project based in Escravos region,located in  Delta  State , about 100 kilometres southeast of Lagos.
The plant that converts natural gas into liquid petroleum products  is developed by Chevron Nigeria Limited, with a 75% stake, Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC , with 15% stake and Sasol with 10%
